The promise of a Lifetime

This week has been difficult. Title waves of pain have capsized the ship that his delicately carried me though the sea of life over these last couple of weeks.

Every billow threatens to push me further into the chill of darkness. Further away from the one who is granting me light; guiding me toward the harbor of safety. Yet, in the shadows of uncertainty there is a gleam of light.

In this garment of pain there is a brilliant thread of hope that cannot be severed. It is to this promises that I cling, “because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is His faithfulness. "The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him." The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” Lamentations 3:22-26

No matter what you are facing may you find comfort and rest in the unchangeable promises of God. His promises are sure to last a lifetime. For more "Then sings my soul Saturday" posts visit Amy's blog at Signs, miracles and wonders. Be sure to check out music monday with Kat
